Siggraph Logistics Meeting, Anaheim, May 2011.

Marriott just sent up a tray with a slice of carrot, pre-crumbled cheese, chocolate pudding and an edible Siggraph logo.

Rock n’ Roll baby.

(Staying at Disneyland for business meetings, especially *real* business meetings, is actually pretty sucky).

Delay your Email & save time.

How many times have you clicked send, and then realized shortly after, that you should have put in an extra note in your email, or wished you’ve phrased your email in another way.  Or worse, sent it to the wrong person entirely.  Having recently set this up in gmail (as an email labs add-on – ‘Undo Send’) I wanted to do the same thing in Outlook.

Here it is:

Tools >
Rules/Alerts >
New rule >
Check messages after sending >
(Don’t select anything so it’s applied to all messages) >
Defer delivery by a number of minutes >
(Select any exceptions) >
Apply >

After that, your emails will sit in your outbox for a minute before it sends itself. Save time, say goodbye to ‘instant follow up emails’, and keep friends.
