Ralph McQuarrie Tribute

Ralph McQuarries resume included Star Wars (1977), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Battlestar Galactica (1978), The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Return of the Jedi (1983), Cocoon (1985) & Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986).  He is credited for designing the most memorable and iconic characters in the history of science fiction.  This visual tribute on display at Lucasfilm is a collection of heartfelt thanks from professional artists who, as children, were inspired to follow a path largely made possible by the dedication, talent and imagination of Ralph.

Maybe it’s a good thing they are not for sale.
